It is true that you feel validated when a traditional publishing company decides to take the risk of publishing your books. Believe me, I am still waiting for the magical moment and special letter in the post or that email, saying, we are interested in your novel and the board of directors at XYZ Publishing Ltd have decided to sign you on… you do not have to make any contributions towards the publication. That will be the day! However, until I receive such letter, life continues. There is no point in writing books for me alone to enjoy – is there? So, I will continue to write my books if the inspiration continues to flow, and I will continue to publish them until such time that I get a traditional publisher to take them off my hands. Looking forward to that day. The truth is, a lot of people are praying for this dream to come true, so we can walk on the red carpet together. My gift is to be used (which I am using) and shared with others (being done via self-publishing), so how can self-publishing be wrong?
